Art is important to me because it helped form who I am. Art made me pick up a pencil and follow in my relatives footsteps. Being in an environment that promoted creativity made me want to expand my artistic skills even more. After taking all the art classes that I have, I hope that I will be accepted into the AP art program for these following reasons.
The experience I will gain while taking AP Art will help improve my painting, drawing, and design skills through practice and the completion of given assignment. Most importantly, my creativity will increase because I will be made to think outside the box. I will learn to improve my time management, increase my class ranking, and increase my chance of earning scholarships to Oklahoma State University.
I believe I’m a good candidate to become part of the AP program because I have a strong work ethic, produce consistently good work, and I manage complete my assignments on time. Art offers me a way to relax, to channel and express emotions, and has given me the ability to create something out of nothing. Art has always been a part of my life and I hope enjoy it for a long time.
